Do you want to own Original Art, but worry about exorbitant prices? Or feel unsure about your choices on which piece or Artist to go for?
Well, look out for Mini Canvas Paintings in art markets. Although, ‘mini’ is a relative term in art, but most paintings smaller than 36 square inch are considered mini-paintings in general. That would mean, sizes such as 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6 or even 5x7. Some artists are skilled at going even smaller and creating a sculpture on the tip of a lead pencil as an example. But here, we are talking about Art that can be proudly displayed on your mantelpiece.
Mini paintings offer many benefits over their larger counterparts. A small size makes them suitable for many different nooks and corners in a house – consider book shelves, kitchen counters, console tables in hallways, or a welcoming art in the foyer. One can also combine small paintings to display them in group. When needing a change, it is simpler and easier to replace just one or two pieces, instead of the entire collection. Mini Canvas Paintings are also ideal for small homes and apartments. Best of all, they are much more affordable then large paintings and even more economical than Art prints in some cases. Minis are also a great way to test the waters, become familiar with art buying process, or simply kick start your own Art collection.
As an artist, I love painting mini paintings on canvas, since it gives me a lot more freedom for creative expression, without the fear of making mistakes. The time taken to complete a mini painting is a distinct advantage. I also love displaying mini canvas paintings in my hallways and the corners of my rooms to add a pop of color, matching my furnishings.
